THE COTTAGE
A brilliantly located brick and flint, single storey cottage tucked away in a pretty garden so close to Blakeney quayside and the start of the coastal path.
The cottage sleeps up to four (plus cot) and creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with one large bedroom and one smaller twin room.
A perfect coastal retreat for a couple or for young families providing every home comfort and more. The pretty garden is sheltered, sunny and secure with plenty of furniture, a BBQ and summerhouse. To the side of the cottage you will find private parking.
As a single storey property, it really is a perfect retreat, not only for those less mobile around winding or narrow stairs, but also for our very young visitors.
Blakeney is the perfect place for a break at any time of the year, so do contact us to arrange your getaway at Blackbird Cottage.
LOCATION
The super location means you are only a few steps from everything required for a great holiday. Originally part of a group of period barns known as Manor Farm (now the Manor Hotel), upon leaving the cottage you immediately find wonderful views over the wildfowl ponds, dinghy park and marshes and of course the first steps to the coastal path to Cley or Morston. In under a minute, guests are in Blakeney High Street with The Moorings Bistro and Coffee Shop on your right and the White Horse pub and restaurant directly in front of you. Further up the High Street you will come across Blakeney Deli.
The Cottage is an easy stroll across the quayside to the well stocked supermarket, wet fish shop and The Kings Arms pub. You will also find nearby two hotels, an ice cream kiosk, gift shops and a local garage. There are refreshment caravans (April to September) at the quayside only 100m away.

THE GARDEN
Such a bonus for your holiday in Blakeney! A pretty sunny spot, sheltered by a listed, ancient flint wall. It provides plenty of enclosed space for those just wishing to eat, relax or read in the garden and for children to play safely outdoors. There is a summerhouse, an area of lawn, plenty of garden furniture, lighting and a Weber BBQ. Outdoor games and folding loungers are also provided.
FOR OUR YOUNGER VISITORS
A highchair, baby bath and travel-type cot are available free of charge but we would ask that you bring your own cot bedding. We provide books, dvds, toys and even a pair of children's binoculars. Crabbing buckets are always waiting in the garden to be used at the quayside. Pushchairs and bicycles can be safely stored in the summerhouse and remember our young visitors have the safe and secure outdoor space to enjoy.
NORTH NORFOLK
The cottage is conveniently located for dinghy launching, sailing, windsurfing and boat trips to view the seals at Blakeney Point. Other activities could include visiting the many award winning beaches nearby and local golf courses, bird watching and coastal walking. The resort towns of Sheringham, Wells and Cromer are within easy reach and the pretty Georgian towns of Holt and Burnham Market have a great variety of individual shops, galleries, restaurants, cafes and pubs. The North Norfolk Railway runs from Holt to Sheringham. Historic houses to visit include Blickling, Holkham Hall, Sandringham and Felbrigg. Less than an hour away, you could also visit the Cathedral and Castle in Norwich and enjoy a walk or bus tour exploring this delightful city.
